About Us/FAQs
Who are we?
The club is built upon a blend of oak matured veterans, as well as novices and everyone else in between.
Originally created to represent the Library and IT Services we have now expanded to include a number of Academic Departments and the CCSG.
All are given an opportunity to play no matter what standard of ability.
The club is known as the ITS/Lib 11 for all fixtures excluding T20. For these league and cup games we are known as:
"The Legionaires"
What do we play?
Indoor 6-7 a side games
We play a number of indoor games in the Sports Hub on main campus during the winter months. This high tempo style of cricket helps lift us from our winter slumbers. Typically these matches take place outside of term time and during the Christmas and Easter breaks.
20-20
The ITS/Lib cricket team T20 games are played weekly throughout the third term and summer months between different University departments. A combined Interdept vs Staffs match is planned this year whilst a cup competition will also take place again following the success of last years event.
Matches typically last around 2 and a half hours and are usually played on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with a start time of 6PM.
More information on the inter-departmental T-20 league, including up to date tables, league rules and match results can be found on the league website.
40 Overs
Fixtures in the longer 40 over format of the game take place on certain weekends. These are usually friendlies vs other teams within our league or local school, works or village club teams.
Please consult the fixture list for the latest up to date information
Do we run any training or nets sessions?
We also run outdoor nets session at 5.30PM till 8.30PM every Wednesday and Friday during the season (typically mid-April onwards until mid-September) at the Cryfield Sports pitches.
Indoor winter nets are scheduled in during the Christmas and Winter breaks and are typically outside of term time due to the restricted availability of the Sports Hub.
Free for staff & students...
All University of Warwick staff and students can Rock up & Play for free!
Please consult the Training and Nets section of this site for the latest up to date information
Can I play too?

Do I need to buy any equipment?
No, all required equipment will be supplied by the club. A personal box/abdo guard may be preferred and any personal equipment can be used at your discretion.
It is also strongly recommended to have your own pair of boots fitted with studs, as trainers/indoor shoes are not suitable for playing on grass, especially in the often inclement April and May conditions.
We would also recommend the purchase of a jumper or slipover for use during the early and late season periods.
Typically we like to play in whites where possible and a club shirt, cap and slipover jumper can be purchased from our club shop.
Are there any match or membership fees in place?
We do ask that all players contribute a one-off £20 subs fee per season that will be used to provide all necessary equipment as well as providing for end of season trophies and a little something left over for the end of season awards event!
What is expected of me?
Getting to the ground for a prompt start is of huge value to us, also good communication to the Captains or Club Officers is greatly appreciated.
Finally going the extra mile and helping out with putting out the boundary markers before play, moving the sightscreens if needed, replacing the pitch covers and ensuring that team equipment is kept in good order and treated with respect makes all the difference.
"Most of all that you enjoy your cricket and that it is played with the best traditions of the team and the University in mind."
