Our events and activities are bought to you by a range interdisciplinary research groups and researchers. Our aim is to bring you thought-provoking events and activities that capture the broad range of influence Behavioural Science has across all aspects of life. From how financial decisions are made by investors make, the economic and political issues surrounding climate change and how science has shaped artists' perception of the world.

COPR & CJC Seminar: Policing & Trauma

Event Information: 
You are warmly invited to attend a joint Centre for Operational Police ResearchLink opens in a new windowLink opens in a new window and Criminal Justice CentreLink opens in a new windowLink opens in a new window seminar, discussing perspectives around policing & trauma. It explores the complex emotions in the labour of police officers in the UK and seeks to put academic researchers in conversation with police practitioners.
Questions to be covered in the seminar include: How do police officers navigate emotional boundaries in their work and in their engagements with those they police? And how far are police forces becoming trauma-aware?
 
This seminar is the first in a series organised as part of the Vulnerable StateLink opens in a new windowLink opens in a new window project and is open to all - please share this invitation far and wide across your networks.

 

In-person attendees are warmly invited to join us for lunch afterwards (please specify dietary requirements in your RSVP email if attending in person).
