What do we fund?

Connecting Cultures is able to offer grants to support activities that relate to the remit of the Global Research Priority themes (take a look at our Themes).

We are keen to fund:

  • Networking
  • Workshop/conference organisation
  • Visiting Fellows - we are happy to co-fund Visiting Fellowships with the Humanities Research Centre, the Institute for Advanced Study or with departments or research centres.
  • Global Challenges Research Fund-related activities - we are particularly keen to be responsive to requests for support that will lead to applications to the GCRF.
  • Pump-priming activities that will lead to external grant applications
  • Cultural events
  • Impact activities

We are open to supporting other types of activity but we do not fund individual research trips or conference attendance. Applications for activities which involve several people at Warwick are particularly welcomed.

To find out about some of the projects and researchers we have funded. Take a look at our Spotlight on funding recipients page.

Please be in touch with Ura Martin: U dot Martin at warwick dot ac dot uk or if you want to discuss applying for GRP funding in conjunction with other internal sources of funding or if you would like advice on external funding.
