This study aims to identify the nature of the research on productivity and the future of work carried out by the University of Warwick, the faculty involved and their external research networks. An initial search of the 1974-2020 research published in the Warwick University repository WRAP. Additional information was gathered from reports and other expertise suggested by the GRP leads and the head of schools. To identify the current research network (and to deal with the turnover of faculty), the attention was restricted to the research carried out in the last 5 to 10 years.

The main findings are: there is a significant amount of research taking place within Warwick; the University is endowed with world-leading academics who continuously contribute to both bodies of knowledge; there is a vast number of external networks across the globe; there is a sizeable number of inter-departmental research and very little intra-departmental research.

The report is split into two sections. The first section focuses on productivity broadly defined, whilst the second section looks specifically at the future of work. The general to specific approach was implemented to better capture the expertise and the nature of the research delivered by the faculty at Warwick University.
