Our People
Ben is an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at the university of Warwick and has over 15 years of spectroscopy experience. His Research is focused on the identification and exploitation of technologically useful point defects in diamond: electron paramagnetic resonance and coherent optical experiments, with an emphasis on the understanding and control of defects.

Dr. Ben Breeze - RTP Manager
Ben completed his PhD in Condensed Matter Physics at Warwick in 2016 and worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow before joining the spectroscopy RTP. Ben is very experienced with all the spectroscopic equipment in the lab and is responsible for all training in the facility and offers support in experiment design and analysis.

Dr Chris Waldron - Technical Support Specialist
Chris Completed his PhD in Polymers for rheological control at the University of Warwick in 2014 and has worked a research scientist for a number of companies including Unilever and Dow. He returned to Warwick in 2021 and works promoting Analytical sciences as well as providing support across a range of RTPs.
Ryan Williams - Senior Research Group Technician
Ryan is the Senior Research Group Technician based at Milburn House and works with the Spectroscopy RTP as well as other groups in the building. Before joining Team Milburn, Ryan worked as a Research Technician in the main physics department. Ryan brings a wealth of technical experience and knowledge to the RTP and is involved in the design and build of new custom experiments alongside other duties.
Finding the lab
The Spectroscopy RTP lab is located in G78 in Millburn house near the magnetic resonance hall. You can find us on the Universities interactive campus map Millburn House Foyer

For ease of Access please use the East entrance to Millburn House (///traps.summer.metro).
When approaching the building from main campus please come to the right-hand side of the building. The east entrance has a large glass front with signage for Millburn house above the doors and the labs are to the right-hand side of the main foyer. If you are visiting the lab for the first time it is best to wait in the foyer and contact the platform manager.
External users
External visitors can find instruction and up to date advice on best routes to campus from go.warwick.ac.uk/directions. There is only very limited parking at Millburn house and external visitors are advised to check with the platform manager for availability and other possible parking arrangements prior to their visit.
