Local Information

Travel from Marco Polo Airport to the workshop venue

  • By bus (ATVO) to Piazzale Roma (Piazzale Roma Bus Terminal). It takes 20 minutes and the ticket costs around €10 per person. Then walking to our Foresteria (20-30 mins) or by vaporetto boat line 1 or 2 through Grand Canal.
    • From train station by vaporetto boat line 1 or 2 through Grand Canal running every 12 minutes from "Piazzale Roma" to "Accademia" (both lines 1 and 2) or arriving at San Samuele stop (only line 2). From "Accademia", once got off, cross the Accademia bridge and take Ponte Giustinian on your left hand side and go straight.
  • Alilaguna boat: it takes around 1 hour and costs €15-20 per person. You can get off at Sant'Angelo which is 400m from the Palazzo Giustinian Lolin.
  • A Water Taxi from Venice Marco Polo Airport to the city centre costs between €105 and €150.
  • Given the rather complex way of traveling on the island, we advise to not arrive too late.
  • There are numerous sites with additional up-to-date information, see e.g., Venice LoverLink opens in a new window.

Since Venice is a very popular tourist destination already in May, we advise to book accommodation early.
