Local Emergency Services
Geographically, the University is located across two counties, the West Midlands and Warwickshire. Consequently, Campus is served by two police constabulariesLink opens in a new window.
Their primary role and responsibility is to support the Community Safety team by preventing crime, apprehending and investigating offenders, and offering crime prevention advice for personal and property protection. Additionally, when resources allow, they may provide a pro-active and visible presence to reassure the Campus community.
You can find more information about each service on their webpages found here:

They also assist the Community Safety department with incidents involving members of the University, both on and off campus.
If you need to speak to the police while on campus and it is not an emergency, please call 101. In an emergency, call 024 7652 2222.
If you are away from campus and in need of emergency assistance, please call 999 and ask for the required service.
The Community Safety department is also supported by the local ambulance and fire services. We work closely with them to ensure that emergencies are handled swiftly on campus, including escorting paramedics to first aid incidents and assisting the fire service with building evacuations. Similarly to the police, our geographical location means that we work both the West Midlands and Warwickshire fire services. More information can be found on their webpages at the links below.
