The second session covers:

• The development and impact of harmful social norms,
• Building empathy for the victims of sexual misconduct,
• Exploration of what consent is/is not,
• Debunking myths around sexual misconduct and their impact,
• Applying active bystander intervention strategies to more scenarios.

The third session covers:

• More in-depth focus on sexual misconduct scenarios,
• Applying active bystander intervention strategies based on previous learning.

This session looks at abuse within relationships and focuses on raising awareness of the signs of abuse. Looking at the research in this area and the impact of abuse on victims and on wider society. Applying learning to more scenarios and lots of discussion based activities.

Applying learning around making interventions in small group role-plays allowing students to practice interventions and to build confidence. Also start to discuss how we might apply techniques to other unacceptable behaviours such as racism and homophobia. Explore listening to disclosures and also reflect on looking after yourself when supporting others. Reflect on learning and explore how to apply learning going forward.
