Eatwise Recipe Competition Returns for a Second Year
This year’s competition once again invites students and staff to submit their favourite snack recipes; each linked to a cultural celebration or personal tradition. Alongside ingredients, method and a photo, entrants are asked to share the story behind their dish and why it holds meaning for them - an element that proved particularly powerful in last year’s submissions.
Shortlisted recipes will be tested by the Eatwise Test Kitchen, with winning dishes showcased across Eatwise menus or served at relevant cultural events on campus. Winners will also receive a £50 Warwick Food Group voucher and an invitation to a celebratory lunch with the test kitchen team. Last year’s competition saw standout entries including Jollof Rice, Mughlai Chicken Handi and Lentejas Caseras (Spanish Lentil Stew), all of which were adapted and served at a community tasting event that celebrated Warwick’s diverse culinary voices.
The competition forms part of the Eatwise initiative, which aims to champion sustainable, nutritious and culturally representative food across campus. The 2025–26 competition is open now, with entries accepted until mid-December. Winners will be announced in Term 2.
More details, including how to enter, are available on the Eatwise Recipe Competition webpage.
