What’s new in Eatwise outlets for Term 1
Term 1 brings the changing of the season and with it, the desire for cosy dishes and comforting flavours. The Eatwise team have been busy developing some new products for this term, we really hope you enjoy them.
Here are our top picks:
Homemade cinnamon buns
Need we say more? Best served warm, just ask at the counter and we’ll warm it up for you.
Some exciting new seasonal drinks
Blackcurrant has been predicted by experts to be the flavour of the year, so we’re introducing the Blackcurrant Iced Matcha for this coming term, a delicious twist on a classic (available in all Coffee Labs). We’re also welcoming back last autumn’s best seller, the Dirty Pumpkin Chai Latte, this is a truly comforting pick-me-up on a gloomy day (wondering what makes it ‘dirty’? The addition of espresso to the Chai).
New £2.99 hot meals
Three delicious dishes are being added to the £2.99 hot meal repertoire at Café Library and Café Gibbet Hill this term, they all pack a comforting punch and really deliver on flavour. Look out for Aubergine Parmigiana, Tomato & Olive Pasta and Butterbean Cassoulet.
Cheese scones
Term 1 brings the option to upgrade your delicious homemade soup by adding a Red Leicester Cheese scone on the side.
Higher fibre and higher protein products
To counter all of the warming comfort food, the team have also been working on a new range of platters and snack pots that are higher in protein or fibre. These will be available from the chillers in our cafes to takeaway or enjoy eating in. Our favourite is the Smoked Salmon and Prawn Platter which comes with spinach, avocado and edamame beans.
