Recent Changes to the University Calendar
Revision to Ordinance 8
On 6 October 2021 the Senate approved an amendment to Ordinance 8 on Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates, to include the award of Foundation Degree in Science (FdSc). This was confirmed by Council on 13 October 2021.
Revision to Regulation 38
On 6 October 2021 the Senate approved a revision to Regulation 38 Governing Research Degrees to incorporate part-time study for the Engineering Doctorate (EngD) programme into section 38.3. This change took place with immediate effect, noted by the Council on 13 October 2021.
Revisions to Regulation 41
On 28 September 2021 the Vice-Chancellor took Chair’s action on behalf of the Senate to approve amendments to Regulation 41 Governing the Management of the Impact upon the University’s Academic Business of Force Majeure, to allow the award of credit for progression and award purposes. These changes took place with immediate effect, noted by the Council on 13 October 2021.
Revisions to Regulation 36
On 12 August 2021 the Vice-Chancellor took Chair’s action on behalf of the Senate to approve amendments to section 36.1 of Regulation 36 Student Registration, Attendance and Progress, to account for Immigration Rule changes following Brexit. These changes took place with immediate effect, noted by the Council on 13 October 2021.
Revisions to Regulations 11, 10 and 36
On 7 July 2021, on the recommendation of the Academic Integrity Sub-Group, the Senate approved:
- A new Regulation 11 "Academic Integrity" (Part A) (and associated procedure and guidance) to replace Regulation 11 "Procedure to be Adopted in the Event of Suspected Cheating in a University Test"
- Revisions to Regulation 10 "Examinations Regulations"
- Revisions to Regulation 36 "Student Registration, Attendance and Progress"
all with effect from the beginning of the 2021-22 academic year (4 October 2021) and for all students of the University of Warwick.
These changes were noted by the Council on 14 July 2021.
