At its meeting held on 18 March 2009, the Council approved formally amendments to Ordinance 13 to allow the University to award the following qualifications:

• Graduate Diploma
• Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE)
• Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) 

Additional external members have been appointed to the Faculty of Science Advisory Board by invitation of the Vice-Chancellor.

In accordance with the resolutions of the Senate made at its meetings held on 11 March 2009, the following revisions have been made to the University Calendar:

• Dissolution of the Centre for the Study of Sport in Society (Senate Paper S.34/08-09)

Ordinance 3 has been revised following approval of Council on 2 October 2008 to provide for the new procedure for appointment and terms of office for Pro-Vice-Chancellors. (Council Paper C.13/08-09)

Please note that related changes to the University Statute 8 (2) are awaiting approval from the Privy Council and will updated as soon as approval is granted.
