Terms of Reference
- To support the delivery of the University’s Education, Employability and Student Recruitment Strategies through the development of institutional strategy and policy on work-based learning and apprenticeship provision.
- To steer the diversification of the University’s educational offer through the development of sector-leading apprenticeships and other work-based learning opportunities, in a joined-up and coherent way.
- To have responsibility, on behalf of Partnerships Committee, for ensuring the quality and standards of apprenticeship and work-based learning provision, with specific responsibility for the development and monitoring of the institutional SAR and QIP.
- To ensure that the university and departments involved in the delivery of apprenticeships and other work-based learning are meeting the requirements and expectations of external quality assurance and regulatory bodies.
- To receive updates from the Apprenticeship and Work-based Learning Quality Assurance Group, Apprenticeship and Work-based Learning Operations and Compliance Group, and Apprenticeship Approval Group.
- To advise Partnerships Committee about current and future developments in apprenticeships and work-based learning and their alignment with University strategy and policy.
- To survey external landscapes to ensure Warwick’s provision is responsive to regional and national contexts.
Reporting Structure
The Apprenticeships and Work-based Learning Steering Group will report to the Partnerships Committee.
