Nominations to represent the Assembly on the Senate (Summer 2019)

Nominations are invited for three members of the Assembly to serve as members of the Senate for three year terms from 1 August 2019 - 31 July 2022. The vacancies are for:

  • two academic staff members of the Assembly noting that, in this instance, only one of these academic staff vacancies can be taken by a professor (Ordinance 5(5) refers).
  • one professional services staff member of the Assembly

Full details on Assembly membership can be viewed here.

Nominations must be proposed and seconded by members of the Assembly with the consent of the nominee. To create a nomination, emails each sent separately from the proposer, the seconder and the nominee (confirming their consent to be nominated), should be sent to Phil Griffiths, on behalf of the Registrar, at senate@warwick.ac.uk by the end of Friday 24 May 2019.

If more nominations than vacancies are received for either the professional services or academic staff categories of membership, then election(s) by electronic ballot will take place during the period 10 June – 21 June 2019. Each nominee will be asked to provide a supporting statement by the end of Wednesday 5 June 2019; the statement must be no more than 300 words and tailored to the role of representing the Assembly on the Senate. The supporting statements from each nominee will be published on the ballot webpage for the duration of the election. Further information about the election process will be posted on insite and emailed to all members of the Assembly on Monday 10 June.
