Honorary Degree Criteria

Candidates will normally be expected to fulfil at least two criteria from the following five (8, 9, 10, 11, 12). Of the two criteria they must fulfil, candidates must fulfil at least one point from criteria 8, 9 and 10:

8. A significant national or international profile in their field of expertise, [based around lifelong work and reputation and /or a significant contribution]

9. A significant regional profile in said field of expertise, and / or contribution to regional community activities in said field of expertise

10. A current established link with the University and its activities and / or candidate has a probable future link with the University and its activities

11. Candidate has / will contribute to the advancement of University Strategy: make particular reference to one or more of the Strategy 2030 pillars: Regional Leadership; Internationalisation; Innovation; Sustainability; Inclusion

12. The candidate will further enhance the diversity of the Honorary Graduate Community
