Based on the response to a fire alarm activation from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service, the local emergency response procedure to follow depends on the day of the week and the time of day a fire alarm is received. The two response procedures, ‘in hours’ and ‘out of hours’, are aligned to the following time periods.
The Wellesbourne campus’ local emergency response team utilises trained staff members (the Fire Party) to respond to a fire or fire alarm activation and to coordinate the initial management of such an incident. The local emergency response reflects that the site is not manned 24hours a day, seven days a week and the current Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service policies regarding their attendance to fire alarm activations.
