Release notes for web applications

We released SiteBuilder 2.506 on Wednesday 8^th June 2022. In this version we made the following bug fixes and improvements to the Components Editor:

• We now prompt editors to provide a captions file for SiteBuilder-embedded videos. Accessibility legislation requires captions of audio content, including what is said, who is speaking and non-speech information conveyed through sound.
  • See our help page on how to create a captions file for videos hosted on SiteBuilder.
  • When adding videos hosted on a video sharing site such as YouTube, you will see options to confirm that you've checked for accuracy the captions provided by the video sharing site, or confirm that the video conveys no information through sound.
• When adding a video, which is hosted on SiteBuilder, to a Components Editor page you can now set its Relative size, Position and Margin. If adding a video from a video sharing website such as YouTube, you won't see these options but can set the video's Width and Height. You can add a video by selecting Add images/media from the left-hand menu, and selecting Audio/video from the sub-menu.
• We made a change so that closing a dialog while editing launches a confirmation dialog, if you have made changes to the content. This prompts you to select to keep editing, or discard your changes. In 2.502 we applied this change when closing a custom HTML component, or the page head, and have now applied this to other components.
• We fixed a bug which prevented adding a link after applying styling to the selected text.
• We fixed a bug which prevented list items from wrapping, when adding an image to a news item.
• We fixed a bug which meant it wasn't possible to remove some content from custom HTML components.
• We added links to the Glossary page template to enable users to return to the top of the page.

We released SiteBuilder 2.505 on Tuesday 24^th May 2022. In this version:

• We added a Components Editor column to the site content report. This enables you to see at a glance which pages in your site use the Components Editor.
• When you select the Tiles display format at a News page template, you can now select to display the tags list on the right. Previously, it was only possible to display the tags list at the top of the page.

We released SiteBuilder 2.504 on Tuesday 17^th May 2022. In this version we made the following bug fixes in the Components Editor:

• We fixed a bug which caused inconsistent behaviour when using the Backspace or Delete keys to remove anchors from your page.
• Page comment moderation options now display correctly in the Edit page properties screen when enabling comments on your page.
• We fixed a bug which caused an error when applying custom block classes to your content. You can add a custom block class by selecting Add text & formatting from the left-hand menu and selecting Block style from the sub-menu. Enter the name of your class in the field at the bottom of the dialog and select Apply.
• When your page fetches content from a data list page, selecting a link to an anchor now results in the user jumping to the specific place in the current page. Previously, users were taken to the anchor on the data list page.

We released SiteBuilder 2.503 on Wednesday 11^th May 2022. In this version we made the following improvements and bug fixes to the Components Editor:

• We fixed a bug which prevented some links from opening in a new window, where styling is added to the link text.
• We fixed a bug which prevented users from navigating text using only the arrow keys on a keyboard, when the text was pasted into the Components Editor from another source.
• You can now add CSS classes to inline text in a Components Editor page. To add a class to your content, highlight the relevant text and then select Add text & formatting from the left-hand menu, then select Formatted text from the sub-menu.
• Users editing a Components Editor page using only a keyboard can now use the shortcut Ctrl + Q to navigate directly to the editable area.

We released Tabula 2022.4.4 on Wednesday 27^th April 2022. In this version:

• Exam grids now include information on routes without any core required modules specified. This is in the Report section at the top of the grid, where the field 'Routes with no core required modules' shows either 'None', or the number of routes, accordingly. If a number of routes is shown, you can select this to display a pop-up which lists the routes. We also added a confirmation page after the page to 'Identify Core Required Modules' in the grid options. This confirmation page appears if any of the routes included on the grid have no core required modules selected. The page lists the relevant routes and gives you the option to go back to specify core required modules or to proceed to the grid.

• On the 'Mitigating Circumstances Submissions' page, Mitigating Circumstances Officers and Panel Chairs can now filter submissions by issue type.

• When the table of marks on the 'Process marks' screen is wider than the browser window, a horizontal scrollbar is now fixed to the bottom of the window, rather than only available at the bottom of the page. This matches the behaviour of the horizontal scrollbar on exam grids.

• We fixed a bug that caused the Module page in PGT students' profiles to display the following message when marks had not yet been released: "Marks visible to you on this page are subject to agreement by the Final Board of Examiners and until such time, these marks are provisional and subject to change." To avoid giving the impression that marks should be available when they're not, the message now only appears after marks are released.
• When you download an exam grid as an Excel spreadsheet, any notes present in the preview of the grid are now included in the downloaded file. You set the Notes field to appear when you specify your grid options, in the Administration section.
