SiteBuilder release notes
SiteBuilder 2.549 released
We released SiteBuilder version 2.549 on Friday 21st July 2023. Changes in this version include:
- Block layouts: Settings to remove gutters and set edges flush with the page now correctly apply only to the blocks immediately within the block layout instead of all nested blocks.
- Item filter pages have received several improvements:
- Tags now appear in alphabetical order on the Edit page properties screen.
- Manage sections: We've added a link to this from the Editing tags page.
- On the Manage entries page, we've changed the Back to page link to a button to improve visibility.
- Buttons for reordering Tag sections are now correctly greyed out when they aren't applicable - for example, the "Move up" button for the entry at the top of the list.
[email],[slideshow]and[audio]magic tags are now supported in data entries.
- Event feed and News feed components can be set to display only headlines while in the Tile and Tile - scrollable views.
- The Audio/video component can now be set to auto-play and loop videos. Note that these options only apply for visitors who have not selected reduced motion in their system settings.
Note: Unexpected issues with SiteBuilder version 2.548 caused us to roll it back. We've included the changes originally released in that version in this new version.
SiteBuilder 2.548 released
We released SiteBuilder version 2.548 on Wednesday 12th July 2023, but unexpected issues required us to roll it back. Changes originally released in version 2.548 will be included in SiteBuilder version 2.549.
SiteBuilder 2.547 released
SiteBuilder version 2.547 was released on Thursday 29th June 2023. With this update:
- Resource bookings pages: It's now possible to create retrospective bookings and edit past bookings. Note that this option can be disenabled in the resource settings.
- In the Components Editor:
- Map links now correctly display inline in the editor. Note that inline map links were displayed correctly when the page was published - this issue only affected how they appeared in the editor.
- Changing the selected image in an Image component now also clears any existing alternative text description. This helps ensure that alt text is accurate to the image being used.
- News feed and Event feed components can now be displayed as Tiles - scrollable. This option allows a feed to function like a Horizontal scroller component.
- The Buttons component now supports custom CSS classes. For more information about how to add custom styles to your page, see our HTML and CSS guidance.
SiteBuilder 2.546 released
We released SiteBuilder 2.546 on Tuesday 20th June 2023. In this version, we:
- Fixed a bug that prevented certain images from appearing in content feeds from another page.
- Changed cookie requirements related to Google Tag Manager. These tags will now only operate if a visitor to the page accepts performance cookies.
- Made the following changes and improvements to the Components Editor:
- Fixed a bug that caused horizontal rules to appear the wrong size (or not at all) when placed inside layout blocks.
- Solved an issue where embedded videos would not maintain the correct aspect ratio if only one of the height or width was user-defined.
- Fixed a bug that caused horizontal scroller components to break if all their content was deleted.
- Solved an issue that could cause a reCAPTCHA image verification window to appear behind other pop-up elements.
- Fixed a bug where Resource booking pages displayed the wrong bookings when set to the 4-days view.
- Added the option to centre Buttons components when they don't occupy the full width of the container.
- Added the option to set Calendar feed components to Tiles view.
SiteBuilder 2.545 released
We released SiteBuilder 2.545 on Wednesday 7th June 2023. In this version, we:
- Added a Tiles view option to the Calendar and Calendar Filter page templates. This can be selected using the Default view drop-down in Page properties, and enables you to add thumbnail images to events. Note that choosing this option means visitors to your page will not be able to manually select other views.
- Fixed a bug that caused a server error when attempting to publish a page with invalid markup tags.
- Made the following updates and improvements to the Components Editor:
- Solved an issue that caused the preview image to be cut off when placing a video inside a horizontal scroller component.
- Fixed a bug on Item filter pages that prevented text search from returning items with no assigned tags.
