Laptop and desktop loans for departments

We can offer your department short-term loans of laptop and desktop computers to support your projects and to help you out in emergencies. These loans are free of charge, and any member of University staff can put in a request.

Laptop loans

We offer these loans for up to 1 month (or longer in exceptional circumstances). The specification of our laptop model is:

  • 14 inch screen
  • Processor: i5
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Hard Drive: 256GB Solid State Hard Drive

Desktop loans

We offer these loans for up to 4 weeks (or longer in exceptional circumstances). The machines we have available come in a variety of models, but are all ITS-managed Windows 10 computers.

If you have a specific requirement for the type of computer, we may not be able to meet it – it depends on what we have available at the time of your request.
