Overview:

Session 2 will build upon themes introduced in Session 1. Participants will explore own beliefs about what it means to be ‘a researcher,’ and how this might shape own understanding and aspirations for research outcomes, and research trajectory. Participants will be encouraged to explore this in the context of the researcher’s place within the wider research ecosystem.

What are the intended learning outcomes for this session?

• Evaluate own identity as a researcher and how this informs the research process
• Locate, and work towards a future imagined research (and researcher) trajectory
• Explore dimensions of the research ecosystem
• Identify, and prioritise actions, for a development plan
