About the Researcher

I study English and Comparative literary studies at Warwick University. I am originally half Finnish and half Italian, and grew up at the foothills of the Himalayas in a small village called Naddi.

About this Project

This project aims to investigate the manner in which activists instilled meaning and emotions to their city-space in 1970’s movement in Italy. This will be done through research on street art, public festivals and squatting as a means for activists to apply an alternative emotional narrative to their city. The research will be done through archival investigation in Italy. I will be exploring the following archives: Archivio fotografico dell Universita di Bologna, Archivio storico il 68’ Firenze and Archivio storico di Marco Pezzi, Bologna. I will also be interviewing several activists, that I have managed to secure in Rome.
