Inspiring Women Event: Lunch and Learn – Women in Leadership: Managing Yourself
Join us for an empowering panel discussion designed to support women at every stage of their leadership journey. This Inspiring Women at Warwick session will explore what it truly means to manage yourself effectively while leading others with confidence, clarity, and balance. Our speakers will dive into practical, relatable topics including:
- Managing yourself - in fast‑paced and demanding environments
- Building confidence - in your voice, decisions and leadership style
- Developing your skills -with guidance on next steps through learning courses on communication and presentation skills
- Achieving work–life balance - in a way that feels sustainable
- Support for working mothers and carers - and navigating the challenges of combining leadership with caregiving responsibilities
This session will offer inspiration, tools, and real‑world insights to help you thrive—both professionally and personally.
Our fantastic panel include:

Founder Anne Wilson retires from the University
Anne founded IWW over 10 years ago when she saw a need to have a women's network group that encouraged the career development of female staff at the University of Warwick. Anne retired in July 2024, and is now a freelance trainer - mostly women's development and career coaching. You can read her blog: https://thecareercatalyst.co.uk/
Gender Equality Awards Success
The Inspiring Women Staff Group was recognised in the Social Inclusion Excellence in Gender Equality Awards 2023 for its "...contribution to the enhancement of gender equality and a commitment to building more inclusive environments and experiences through everyday behaviours at the University of Warwick."
