Active Health Programme

Active Lives, Healthy Minds

The Active Health Programme is a 12-week tailored programme of activity, guidance and support delivered by Warwick Sport.

The aim of the programme is to provide students experiencing difficulties with mental health and wellbeing with the support, guidance and resources to help them adopt a more active lifestyle.

What to expect

During the programme you’ll have free access to a range of facilities and activities and will be assigned a mentor who will work with you to:

  • Explore your motives for increasing physical activity.
  • Explore how you can be more active every day.
  • Develop and review a tailored activity plan that fits around your current commitments.

During the 12-week programme, you will typically have 4 in-person meetings with your mentor to discuss your progress. You can also chat to your mentor between meetings if you need advice, support or to discuss any aspect of your activity programme.

Activities and meetings take place at the Sports and Wellness Hub.

How to take part

To take part in the Programme you will need to be referred by Wellbeing Services. Please get in touch with them to discuss your eligibility for referral to the Programme.

Will I have to pay?

The Programme is free to any student who is referred.
