The University of Warwick has embarked on a long-term partnership with the number one university kit supplier, Surridge Sport, to transform its teamwear. A new 'Team Warwick' style will be introduced across all garments to give the active wellness and sport community at Warwick a recognisable and powerful identity.
The new 'Team Warwick' inspired designs will be integrated from September 2026. Playing kits and teamwear will be the first garments to be launched across Warwick's 62 sports clubs.
As well as offering a variety of male, female and unisex fits within its range, high-quality fabrics, and specialist designers, Surridge Sport is set to introduce a new online shop for every sports club, streamlining ordering processes for Warwick's students.
The partnership also focuses on sustainable garment production, with 100% of Surridge Sport's electricity used from renewable sources, fully recyclable packaging, and a returns programme to redistribute old kit to charities supporting communities in need across the world.
Mark Hyndman, Director of Sport & Active Lifestyles at the University of Warwick, said:
"We are delighted to establish this partnership with Surridge Sport to transform the quality, processes, sustainability, and visual appeal of our kit offer for our students and staff.
Transforming the appearance of our kit across sports clubs, teams, active programmes and our workforce is pivotal to raising awareness of our new 'Team Warwick' identity for active wellness and sport at Warwick.
From students maximising the University's representation nationally and internationally through our high performing sports clubs, to staff reflecting the identity across our sports facilities, we're excited to boost the presence and recognisability of active wellness and sport on and off campus working closely with Surridge Sport."
Working closely with Warwick Students' Union, presidents from 62 student sports clubs shared their thoughts and helped shape the identity that is reflected throughout the new teamwear range. Alongside this, more than 4,600 students, club members, staff, prospective students and members of the community contributed to the insights that informed the new identity.
Danny Vilia, Sales Director at Surridge Sports, said:
“We are delighted to be working with the University of Warwick on this exciting new chapter for sport. Team Warwick provides a fantastic opportunity to create a consistent and professional kit offer ranging from competition playing kit through to student training wear and staff uniform that celebrates the University’s sporting community, while supporting clubs, athletes, and staff across all participation levels.”
The new kit supports the continued rollout of the University’s evolved brand, and provides a platform to celebrate the people, achievements and opportunities that make up its sporting community.
