Campus security advice

West Midlands Police has advised that, in response to the national security level being raised after the terrorist attack in Manchester on 22 May 2017, they will have a higher visible presence on and around the University campus. This is part of their established protocol in patrolling and monitoring areas of high population at times of heightened national risk.

There is no specific threat to the University but we have existing operational security protocols in place to ensure we are able to respond to any concerns, and to ensure planned events have an appropriate level of support. Please remain vigilant and, if you have any urgent concerns, call Campus Security on (024 765) 22222.

If you are planning to travel for the purposes of your University work or studies and have any queries about the latest security advice in advance of making your trip, please contact Ben Pithouse, Head of Institutional Resilience.
