In memoriam: Liliana Odjo

We’re deeply saddened to share the news that Liliana Odjo, a first year student in Computer Science, has died. We’d like to express our sympathy to Liliana’s family, friends and peers.

Staff and students in the Department of Computer Science, and across the University, will miss Liliana’s warmth and friendliness. She came from Coventry, and was awarded a Royal Society of Engineers and Amazon Future Engineer Bursary in 2021. She was an active member of the Students’ Union, and part of the Badminton, Swimming, Ice-Skating, Language Society and Chess Society. She also studied Spanish in the Language Centre.

There is a condolence book to share messages and memories of Liliana. Messages will be collated and published weekly on the page and will eventually be printed and gifted to Liliana's family.

Liliana’s friends have also set up a gofundme page to contribute to the funeral.

We will share details of Liliana’s funeral when we’ve received them from her family.
