Additional study zones for term 3

If the library is too busy, or you'd rather study somewhere else on campus, there are a number of study zone options you can take advantage of.

Option 1

Seminar rooms in the Oculus and S0.11, S0.19 and S0.20 in the Social Sciences building will be available for quiet study when they are not in use for teaching. They will be available from 9am during periods where they are not already booked out for teaching.

The seminar rooms have been removed from the booking system to keep them as free as possible, and when they're not in use, the tablet displays outside will turn green and show the text ‘Available until [time]’.

Even last-minute cancellations will show as green as soon as they're entered into the system, so you can always head to these buildings to check if spaces are free.

Option 2

Centrally Timetabled rooms have been block booked for you to use for quiet study, whether in groups or privately between 09:00 - 18:00.

Find out more about these spaces, including how to book, in Humanities and Social Sciences buildings.

Option 3

Informal pop up spaces have also been made available for study in the following locations:

  • Oculus foyer (from 8am - 10pm)
  • Social Sciences corridor
  • Sciences building concourse
  • Westwood Cafe
  • Bar Fusion
  • Ramphal
