How did you find out about Warwick?

I heard about Warwick from my friends, family, and the Internet.

Did you consider studying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?

Firstly, I really love the major I chose: Media and Creative Industries, it's really different from other Universities' media courses. Secondly, I enjoy the views around Warwick and the amazing Art Centre. Lastly, the QS and Major rating for Warwick and my major is pretty high.

How did you feel to be awarded a scholarship?

I felt unbelievable after I got the email about winning a scholarship, because of the limation of the number of people who would award this. When I applied for this scholarship, I didn't think about winning this and just want to see how lucky I would be. At the time, I was awarded this I made up my mind to study hard, otherwise, I would feel guilty at school.

Who was the first person you told when you received the news about your scholarship and how did they react?

The first person I told when I received the news was my mom, she didn't believe me and think that was a joke. After she realized this was the truth, she was proud of me and wanted to show it off to the world.

How did you apply and did anyone help you with your application form and visa application?

I didn't meet any difficulties through my application. I saw the information on the school website and answered all the questions on my own.

What was your first impression of Warwick when you first walked around campus?

Actually, I am in quarantine these days off-campus and haven't gone to campus yet. However, I saw some pictures from my friends, it is really lovely to have some lawns, lakes and cute animals. In addition, the library and the art centre are attractive.

What is the best thing about Warwick?

The surrounding area of Warwick University is relatively safe compared to other campuses, and the geographical location is also very good. You can take the bus from campus straight to Coventry Station, and this station is well connected with others such as London and Manchester.

What is the worst thing?

There are not many shopping centres around Warwick, people can only go to the cannon park shopping centre or Coventry city centre.

How is your accommodation?

I live off-campus, life here is very convenient, nearby there are supermarkets, KFC, Domino's, and other restaurants. However, it is a little bit far away from Warwick, I need to take 30 minutes walk or 10 minutes bus. Overall, I am satisfied with this accommodation now.

Are you a member of any societies?

I am a member of ChiSoc, these days we are planning to promote or advertise the University of Warwick through some mainstream social media in China so that more Chinese will learn about this university.

What are your plans when you graduate?

As a year 1 student, I don't have a clear goal to achieve. I believe that when I graduate from undergraduate, I will choose to go to postgraduate study. I want to be an employee in a famous media company after finishing my study, this way I will get to know more about this industry rather than studying it theoretically.

What would you say to someone considering applying for an Undergraduate Global Excellence scholarship at Warwick, what would it be?

Thinking about all questions deeply, and answering them honestly.

What one thing makes you happy about Warwick?

Warwick gives enough opportunities to those who are prepared, and everyone can be the one to win.
