Thinking about Science? 'Late Night in the Lab'
Dr Charlotte Carroll and her team of mentors from the Thinking About Science? project ran a series of ‘Late Night in the Lab’ events during February and March 2015.
Students and their parents attended these laboratory-based activity sessions which ran in evenings at Tile Hill Wood School, Woodlands Academy and Westwood Academy. Each session was designed as either a Biology, Chemistry or Physics session and was designed to complement the GCSE curriculum, and inspire students from all year groups in the Science subjects. Some of our excellent feedback included comments such as:

Parents:
‘All three sessions have been amazing. I’ve learnt loads and am now craving learning more. Thank you for the experience.’
‘Excellent session. My son found it very enjoyable. Well done to you all.’
‘Thank you for an enjoyable session. Very informative, friendly and worthwhile’.
‘Very informative and interesting, great to see hands on experiments performed by people who are passionate about their subjects!’
‘This has really inspired (my young person) to now look at A levels for Year 12 in Science & Engineering as well as the possibility of going to Uni to study Science or Engineering! Wow.’
Students:
‘I really enjoyed the session and it was very useful’
‘I really enjoyed tonight's experiments, they made me realise science is really, really fun!’
