UniTracks Programme: The Big Deal 2016 Grand Final!

Congratulations to all four teams (Sandwell Academy, Lady Manners School, Testwood Sports College and Barking Abbey School) who travelled to Warwick Business School on the 17th floor of the Shard Building in London!

After everyone had admired the amazing views across London, it was time to get down to business. All four teams delivered fantastic presentations and it was clear they had responded to the judges’ feedback from the semi-finals, and the judges were equally as tough with their questioning as previously.

It was clearly a close decision, as the judges could be viewed in their meeting room over lunch whilst they were debating who to declare the winner. As ever, there can only be one winner but every team received positive feedback on their performance. Barking Abbey School were declared the overall winner for their innovative idea called ‘The Red Hub’, which aims to find a use for red telephone boxes around London. “The Red Hub is a touch-screen tablet, a selfie booth, a wi-fi spot and an information portal! It will give users details on landmarks, attractions, restaurants, museums and outdoor places that are specific to their location, all on one handy screen in the telephone boxes.”
