Year 12 Student Shadowing – Week Commencing Monday 21st November

The School of Modern Languages and Cultures is opening its’ doors to Year 12 students who are interested in pursuing any combination of languages degree the week commencing 21st November. Students will be matched to a current SMLC Undergraduate students and attend their lectures and seminars for the day. The Undergraduate will show the student around the campus including some of the facilities such as the Transnational Resources Centre, Library and Students’ Union. Students are welcome to apply who would be interested in languages plus another subject English, History etc. (I will do my best to arrange a session with the relevant partner department). The student will need to cover travel expenses to the University of Warwick and bring his/her own lunch or money to buy something.

I will welcome the student to campus, introduce him/her to the Undergraduate and then meet him/her again at the end of the day to ensure that they get off home ok. If any of your Year 12 students would be interested in a student shadowing experience, please could they complete the reply slip and return it to me at A.Videtta@warwick.ac.uk by Monday 14th November at the latest. I understand that some schools require an actual date in order to ask for permission for the activity. If this is the case, please give Monday 21st November as the date of the activity.
