This programme will start in January, after a face-to-face launch and run for approximately six months. Hours will be flexible, but we anticipate you will need to spend an average of about three hours per week on this project. Hours may vary week to week depending on individuals' commitments.
You should prepare the content of the application below in advance in order to complete the online application outlining your research proposal. The application cannot be saved so please keep a copy on word separately to avoid losing your work.
Please note that with the exception of Sanctuary Scholars, this ‘widening participation’ opportunity applies only to UK students who are classified as ‘Home’ students for tuition fee purposes. As a UK student, you must meet one or more widening participation criteria to be considered eligible (e.g. you were eligible for Free School Meals, you are in receipt of a Bursary or other means tested financial support, you spent time in local authority care). Please see the 'student research associate role description' via the link above to read the full list of eligibility.
Applications for the project will be open from the 9th November 2024 and should be completed by the closing date of 9th December 2024 at midnight. Please note that this is an absolute deadline and we will not be able to accept any further applications beyond this date.
Please find more information about the SMSRH programme, and how to apply, here
The applications will be assessed by the reviewers and the outcomes will be communicated by the Review Board via e-mail. The decisions will be given to applicants in December 2024, with a view to holding a face-to-face launch event on 15th January 2025. We recognise that these projects will be initial ideas and we will allow for flexibility.
