Safety and Wellbeing

We understand that joining our Pre-University Summer School means travelling and living independently away from parents/guardians, so we have lots of information on our webpages to reassure students and families about the support and safety measures that we have in place for the programme.

During their time at the Pre-University Summer School, students will be looked after by a core team of staff trained in safeguarding students of this age. Key staff involved in the delivery of the Summer School will also be fully DBS* checked.

In addition, students will be allocated Student Ambassadors, current Warwick students (minimum of one ambassador per group of 12 students) who will accompany the students on social programmes and trips and stay overnight in halls to ensure the safety of the students, whether on campus or elsewhere. You can find out more about the Summer School Ambassadors on these pagesLink opens in a new window.

Students will also be provided with emergency contact details of Warwick staff and support services who will be contactable 24 hours, 7 days a week.
