Environmental Management System (EMS) (Old)
The University has grown substantially over the recent years, and will continue to grow and be successful.
To ensure we have management processes in place that are robust and ensure compliance, service delivery and consistency, everyone needs to be aware of our environmental ambitions, responsibilities and targets. The University has decided that a formal system would help us deliver what is expected.
- We want to make the environment everyone's responsibility (and so need to provide a system people can work with)
- We want to have an officially recognised EMS (that is externally audited to make sure it's up to date and relevant)
- We want to be ready for all environmental related issues, which ISO helps us to cover, including emergencies.
