As part of the final phase of works to complete the permanent realignment of Crackley Lane in Spring 2026, final utility connections and carriageway tie ins will be carried out.

To enable these works, two full road closures will be required between Blind Lane, Cryfield Grange Road and South Hurst Farm between:

• 12 January - 7 February 2026
• 2 March - 28 March 2026

Closures will be in place 24 hours a day. Access to properties will be maintained, but there will be no pedestrian or cyclist access during these periods.

Between 13 January 2026 and 14 January 2026, there will be temporary three-way traffic lights on Stoneleigh Road, near the Gibbet Hill Road roundabout and Leighton Close junction, for urgent utility repair and maintenance works being carried out by Severn Trent.

Traffic delays are expected during this period, particularly at peak times. Road users should allow additional time for their journeys.

From 8pm on Thursday 29 January to 6am on Friday 30 January, the southbound slip road of the A46 at the Stoneleigh Junction will be closed to support HS2 planting and drainage works. For further information, please visit the website hereLink opens in a new window.

From Monday 5 January to Sunday 18 January, multi-way traffic lights will be in operation on Gibbet Hill Road near the Gibbet Hill Road- Scarman Road roundabout to facilitate the construction of a new road entrance serving the STEM building.

Traffic delays are expected during this period, particularly at peak times. Road users should allow additional time for their journeys.

The bus stop will be permanently relocated slightly further along Gibbet Hill Road and pedestrians will be diverted to the footpath adjacent to Warwick Business School.

While the works are scheduled to be completed ahead of the Degree Ceremonies, any delays will be managed by rescheduling works until after the event to avoid disruption.

On Friday, 12 December 2025, the electric vehicle (EV) charging units in the Kirby Corner car park will be out of service due to fixed-wire testing. Please ensure your vehicle is not left plugged in on this date.
