Short Biography
Daniel’s current interests lie in attempting to understand how psychological traits, cognitive biases, mood, language and beliefs affect behaviour. He is Co-ordinator of the Experimental and Behavioural Economics Research Group in the Economics Department. He was formerly one of the academic leads of the Behaviour, Brain & SocietyLink opens in a new window global research priority (GRP) for Warwick, and was also the inaugural chair of the university's Behaviour Spotlight which oversees the inter-disciplinary DR@WLink opens in a new window group of behavioural and experimental researchers spanning the University of Warwick.
Daniel is a member of the World Wellbeing Panel in Montreal, a Research Fellow of the IZA in Bonn, is affiliated with the Behavioural Data Science research programme at the Alan Turing Institute in London and is one of the founders of the Collective Decision-Making and Culture Lab which brings together 71 researchers from 38 institutions across 6 continents who work together to analyse collective action problems.
Daniel's work has been widely covered by hundreds of leading media outlets including front page/cover stories in national newspapers such as the Times, the Guardian and the Economist.
