Lunch and UNISON Exhibition at Modern Records Centre
"History is the knowledge of and study of the past. It is the story of the past and a form of collective memory. History is the story of who we are, where we come from, and can potentially reveal where we are headed."
University of the People
In the current moments when collective interests are in constant crisis, and organising together as communities is more urgent than ever, we are here to foreground your voice and build people power.
We are excited to present a unique UNISON exhibition curated by the Modern Records Centre on campus on Tuesday 31 October 2023 12:00-13:00.
Come along to MRC building (find MRC on campus map) to learn about the largest trade union in the UK public sector, including its history of movements, activities and key figures. Archivists at the MRC will provide the stories behind the rich collections stored and curated on campus and answer any questions you may have. You might also wish to join a tour around the mysterious strong rooms in the MRC (who are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year).
🙌 Meet your local UNISON branch representatives at Warwick who have been actively making the university a better place to work.
🥪 We will provide food and beverages in turn so you can enjoy the exhibition and tour without worrying about lunch. Information about lunch timing and location will follow.
📧 Space is limited - We are allowed up to 25 people for this event, so sign up now before it becomes fully booked. Any questions, please contact us at
