Obverse

  1. Augustus (on the left) being crowned by the goddess Victory (on the right) with a wreath.
  2. Legend IMP CAESAR DIVI F AVGVSTVS COS IX (Imp(erator) Caesar Divi f(ilius) Augustus Co(n)s(ul) IX).
  3. Translation Emperor Caesar, son of the divine, Augustus, consul for the ninth time.

Reverse

  1. Julia and Marcellus two busts facing one another, Julia on the right and Marcellus on the left. The coin celebrates their marriage as it was struck the same year.
  2. Legend M ACILIVS GLABRIO PRO COS (M(arcus) Acilius Glabrio pro Co(n)s(ule))
  3. Translation Marcus Acilius Glabrio, proconsul.
