James Higginbotham (Film and Literature, 1986-89): In memoriam

We were sad to hear of the death of Film and Literature alumnus James Higginbotham on the 3rd of June, 2023, who passed away peacefully at home aged 55. James studied with us from 1986 to 1989 and is remembered as part of the Film and Television Studies family. After studying with us at Warwick, James taught English in rural Thailand. His sister, Laura Schrader, told us that he loved indoctrinating the kids into Star Wars and used film and popular music as his teaching aids.

We see him here during his time at Warwick, including that the end of degree ball, where he eschewed the usual black tie attire in favour of fancy dress.

Funeral service to take place at Peterborough Crematorium on Monday 3rd July at 12:30. Enquires to Smiths funeral directors 01733 347474. The family would be thrilled to hear from any of James' Film and Television Studies peers via getabloominmoveon@outlook.com
