Fees and Funding

Tuition fees are payable for each year of your course at the start of the academic year, or at the start of your course, if later. Fees will normally rise for each year of your course in line with inflation. They do not stay the same as the year in which you started.

University funding opportunities

There are a range of funding opportunities offered by the University for prospective MA students.

Department of Film and Television Studies - MA Scholarship

The Department of Film and Television Studies is also pleased to offer one 1-year MA scholarship covering fees (£9,010) and stipend (£14,800) for 2019/20 entry to our MA in Film and Television Studies and MA for Research in Film and Television Studies. This scholarship is only open to those applying to the Department of Film and Television Studies and all applicants will be considered.
Applicants wishing to be considered for this scholarship should submit their applications to the programme in the usual way by noon on 1 July 2019. Results of the scholarship will be announced later in July 2019.
Applications will be judged by a departmental panel, according to the following criteria:
  • Academic record to date
  • Quality of proposal for study
  • Quality of academic references.

Warwick Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme, 2019-20

The Graduate School have launched the Warwick Taught Masters Scholarship Scheme to support eligible postgraduate students in 2019/20. Awards are set at up to £10,000 per student and available to eligible Home/EU students from under-represented groups who wish to start a postgraduate taught masters course in 2019/20.

There will be two rounds of WTMSS applications for 2019/20 entry, the main portion of funding will be allocated during the first round.

The first round is now open. The deadline for applications to be received is 1 April 2019 (16:00hrs).

The second round will open for applications on 1 May 2019 and will close on 1 July 2019 (16:00hrs).

Postgraduate Loans for Masters Courses

A offers a scheme by which Masters students can apply for a loan of up to £10,000 to help with course fees and living costs. Find out more here.

International Students

The University offers some fees awards for taught MA and MA by Research degrees for international students. If you would like to be nominated for one of these, please contact us.
