Anna C. Sloan
Current position
Anna completed her PhD in Film and Television Studies
. She is now teaching in the department, and is also a Research Assistant for Gendered Knowledges, an IATL-funded interdisciplinary pedagogical project on gender and sexuality studies.
In addition, Anna teaches at the University of Hertfordshire and is Research Fellow for Sustaining Networked Knowledges: Expertise, Feminist Media Production, Art and Activism (SusNet), an EPSRC-funded network based at the University of Sussex.
PhD thesis
Anna's thesis is titled Imperial Hollywood: American Cinematic Representations of Europe, 1947-1964. It examines postwar Hollywood 'tourist films', in which Americans travel abroad to Europe.
