About
Danielle Childs holds a BA in English and German Studies from the University of Portland and an MSt in Film Aesthetics from the University of Oxford. She is currently a third-year PhD candidate at the University of Warwick where her doctoral project (supervised by Dr. James MacDowell and Dr. Michael Pigott) investigates the aesthetic utility and cultural significance of the motel in American cinema. She has previously served as a teaching assistant on the undergraduate course Hollywood Cinema: History, Theory, Industry and looks forward to teaching on the same course in Spring Term 2024.
