About

Ilaria Puliti holds an MA (2018) in Film and Television Studies from the University of Warwick. From 2016 to 2019, she was a tutor in Italian language and culture in the Department of Modern Languages (University of Leicester) and a seminar tutor for UG and PG students in Modern Languages and Translation (UoL). She is a final year PhD student working on a thesis entitled 'Rural Modernities: the Politics and Aesthetics of Extra-Urban Experiences in Italian Cinema' (supervised by Prof Stephen Gundle and Prof Karl Schoonover), which examines Italian cinema's treatment of rural environments within a critical framework that identifies the countryside as a site of modernity.
