About
I am a PhD student in the Co-Tutelle PhD Programme in Global Screen Studies between the University of Warwick and Nagoya University (Japan). My PhD project focuses on the films of Kore-eda Hirokazu, examining the idea of ‘liquid kinship’ in film media and contemporary contexts.
In Spring 2024, I will be the seminar tutor for the first-year core module ‘FI111-15 Film and Television Criticism’. Previously, I taught FI204 World Cinema (leading three seminar groups, Term 1, 2022/23) and FI360 Postwar Japanese Cinema (leading two seminar groups, Term 2, 2022/23). I also gave a guest lecture based on my research on kinship and Kore-eda Hirokazu for the module of Postwar Japanese Cinema.
