Dr Igor Merheim-Eyre is the Head of Office and Advisor to Miriam Lexmann MEP in the European Parliament. His work primarily focuses on human rights around the world as well as transatlantic security. Prior to joining the European Parliament, Igor worked in international democracy support, in particularly, on addressing the influence of authoritarian regimes in Central-Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. Igor received his PhD from the University of Kent (Canterbury), where he’s also a Research Fellow at the Global Europe Centre.
