Sustainability Spotlight
Our vision...
Our people...
This Sustainability Spotlight brings together 5 large research networks and researchers from across the University and beyond, to undertake cutting-edge sustainability research from an interdisciplinary perspective.
The Sustainability Spotlight focuses on ‘sustaining life’ from a planetary perspective, and includes a focus inter alia on planetary challenges & resilience; environmental humanities; complex environmental systems; sustainable societies and innovation, and sustainable materials.
The Spotlight is organised into 4 COLABS - co-laboratories - to address its 4 KPIs: 1) mapping & visualisation; 2) funding & research synergies; 3) ECR platform-building & training; and 4) impact & visibility.
.
We work with policy-makers, businesses, industry, experts, academia and schools. Through collaboration, we aim to address the social, economic and environmental challenges of creating more sustainable alternative futures, together.
We prioritise work with Early Career Researchers, through our internationally recognised Sustainability Training School to raise the next generation of responsible and ethical researchers committed to sustainability.
