Hey, I'm Alice

"I’m a fourth-year Liberal Arts student doing a pathway called 'Gender and Childhood'. I have taken modules from just about everywhere, but my favourite departments to work in are Philosophy and the Institute for Advanced Teaching and Learning.

I did my year abroad at Concordia University in Montreal – though thanks to Covid I never actually set foot in Canada! Even so, it was such a great way to take loads of extra modules and doing it online allowed me to take on a work placement in a primary school at the same time.

Outside of Liberal Arts, I play with the Women’s Netball team and write for The Boar.

"I'm a second-year Liberal Arts student studying a pathway with various modules from Global Sustainable Development and Life Sciences. I'm originally from France, although I’ve lived most of my life in Asia (Singapore and India).

I've joined quite a few societies since I came to Warwick which have enabled me to meet a lot of wonderful people. I became the Social Exec for Chess last year and organised various social events. I also enjoy swimming so I joined the Lifesaving Sports Team to practice with them. I even learned how to cox last year with the Rowing Club! And, as I can’t help but get more involved, I also started volunteering at a primary school to help students to read."

"I'm a second-year Liberal Arts student currently taking a pathway focused on Culture, Politics and Religion. In terms of my research interests, I'm particularly interested in the study of masculinity and of Christianity, and I hope to examine the intersection between these two in my future research.

As a Student Ambassador, I’m excited to demonstrate the potential of Liberal Arts to prospective students and offer holders, as the Liberal Arts course has positively benefitted me in my higher learning, and I want other students to share in that potential. I'm also looking forward to providing an honest account of the course, so that prospective students know what to expect and deal with any obstacles accordingly.

"I’m in my final year of Liberal Arts here at Warwick. My pathway focuses on Black Culture Identity, which I have studied in the English, French, Politics, Sociology, and Education departments, and have even studied in Canada whilst on my year abroad. I’m most looking forward to connecting with prospective students in my role as a campus ambassador, as building and connecting to a community is such an important part of Liberal Arts here at Warwick. It’s such a tight-knit course where I have built meaningful relationships with fellow students and teachers alike, and it is one of my favourite things about being a Liberal Arts student. I also think Liberal Arts students are so useful for prospective students to learn about the course from because we can relate closely to your key concerns, so I am super excited to meet people and help you make an informed decision on studying Liberal Arts."
