Other airports are NOT as convenient: Heathrow Airport is approximately 2.5 hours away. Gatwick Airport is approximately 3.5 hours away.
London Heathrow (LHR)
There are two options for travelling from Heathrow to the University of Warwick - rail or coach. Both will add approximately 2.5 hours to the journey time, although the coach should be cheaper and does not require a journey across central London.
1. By rail. Take the London Underground from Heathrow to London Euston, then a train to Coventry - follow the instructions on the "by rail/coach" page to complete the journey to the university.
There are trains every half hour throughout the day from London Euston Station to Coventry; approximately 90 minute journey. There is a less frequent service from Marylebone Station to Leamington Spa. For train timetables see National Rail. Train services from London to Warwick and Stratford-on-Avon are very difficult and should NOT be attempted.
2. By coach. National Express provide a coach service from Heathrow direct to Coventry Pool Meadow station - follow the instructions on the "by rail/coach" page to complete the journey to the university.
Take a National Express coach to Coventry (they have pickup points at all the terminal buildings and tickets should be purchased from the National Express Desk in your arrival terminal, or from the National Express office in the Central Coach Station at Heathrow; advance booking is available on a telephone service 0990-757-747 from 08.00-22.00 but we cannot make reservations on your behalf); then please see section below on Arrival in Coventry. A single ticket from Heathrow costs approximately £17.00 and a return ticket costs approximately £23.00; from Gatwick a single ticket costs approximately £18.00 and a return ticket costs approximately £24.50. Flightlink coach is the most convenient and inexpensive way to get here if you are arriving at either of these two airports.
General travel from other places in the UK: By rail see National Rail. By coach see National Express.
