'ECF - How to Apply' Workshop on 20th March 2023
What is an ECF Fellowship?
The IAS is an interdisciplinary research centre which brings together researchers from all disciplines and from around the world. Our ECFs are an integral part of this community, and the fellowship gives you an opportunity to interact with researchers from other subjects and work with them to give your research a new interdisciplinary angle.
The Early Career Fellowship supports completing Warwick PhD students who wish to establish themselves in an academic career. Early Career Fellows receive a bursary, training to develop their academic leadership skills and support to produce career-enhancing outputs from their thesis such as papers and book proposals and future fellowship applications.
All Early Career fellows participate in a bespoke Accolade Training Programme that allows fellows to equip themselves with the skills and knowledge needed to be an effective academic leader. It covers personal development, helping fellows to understand themselves and how they interact with others, as well as sector-specific skills and broader transferable skills such as communicating with different audiences.
This workshop is for current Warwick PGRs candidates who will submit their thesis for examination between 1st of May and 30th of September 2023 and are interested in applying for the ECF Fellowship. We will cover key information on the application process and answer any questions potential applicants may have. Due to high demand, the workshop will be in IAS Seminar Room C0.02 in the Zeeman Building. We will be offering an online stream link to the workshop for those who require it.
