Summary
In this project, I will hopefully be able to perform the 1st ever sequential Stern Gerlach experiment. The Stern Gerlach experiment was a cornerstone experiment in physics, first performed in 1922 that provided the first experimental evidence of quantum mechanics by showing spin quantisation. The sequential Stern Gerlach experiment uses 3 consecutive Stern Gerlach experiments to demonstrate the uncertainty principle. Even though the Stern Gerlach experiment was such a pivotal experiment performed over 100 years ago, the sequential Stern Gerlach experiment has not yet been fully realised. This is what this project hopes to change.
